Attorney Resources

Patrick Clancy is the founder of the Innocence Legal Team and began his career in 1974 in the Los Angeles Public Defenders Office.  Deputy Public Defender Herb Barish, one of the greatest criminal law attorneys in the State of California, was Mr. Clancy’s mentor. This experience early in his career was the foundation of Mr. Clancy’s skills as an attorney.

The Innocence Legal Team (ILT) was designed to continue the legacy of Mr. Barish and Mr. Clancy by helping other attorneys who want to provide the best defense possible for their clients.  Mr. Clancy is using what he has learned over the last four decades to mentor a new team of the best and brightest lawyers in the field of sex crimes.

Motions

In addition to mentoring, Mr. Clancy, makes his motions available to other attorneys through ILT. Few attorneys are willing to release their work product in an effort to fight against the powerful and unbalanced legal system.

Attorney Training Videos

Mr. Clancy, with colleague Dr. Demosthenes Lorandos, are also making available a series of training videos available for attorneys new to the field. There is no charge to download and review the 5 videos.

Lectures & Teaching

Mr. Clancy is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Criminal Law. As a specialist, he teaches Continuing Education Seminars on how to prepare successful defense cases against accusations of sex crimes.

Advice and Referral

Mr. Clancy has spoken with over a thousand attorneys over the last decade who have had questions about their cases. He offers advice on topics ranging from trial tactics to referrals for expert witnesses.

By providing these resources to other attorney, the Innocence Legal Team is expanding its umbrella of protection through the state legal community.  In that way, a larger number of people who have been falsely accused of a sex crime may benefit from ILT’s strategies, experience and knowledge.
