Overview

At the Innocence Legal Team, we are dedicated to our people and believe our employees are the heart and soul of the firm. We emphasize the importance of hiring, developing and retaining high-quality individuals that are driven to make a positive impact at the firm. We are able to do this by creating and maintaining competitive programs while fostering a company culture that promotes diversity, respect, service, growth and recognition. We pride ourselves on providing opportunities to enhance our employees' skills, so that they may further their careers and achieve their goals. We look for individuals that are self-motivated, dedicated to providing value and superior services and, above all, people who have a high degree of integrity, professionalism and enthusiasm for their work. Our employees find challenging opportunities in a stimulating, supportive environment that encourages teamwork, fosters open communication and recognizes and rewards exceptional performance.

Firm Culture and Overview

We believe that diversity of thought and experience will enrich our dynamic work atmosphere. We have created a company culture that is based on collaboration, devotion to serving our clients and mutual respect. New employees are integrated into the firm through our extensive orientation, new user training and mentorship programs. We are committed to a fair and equitable workplace where each person is a valued member of the team.

The Innocence Legal Team is highly rated for the quality of its client service. This strength stems from two key factors: a strong emphasis on service that starts at the top of the firm and permeates throughout, and an extremely collegial culture that emphasizes collaboration in support of client needs. Our Founder, Patrick Clancy, has been recognized as one the foremost leading authority on criminal law while successfully winning his cases in California, which lends prestige to all of our attorneys. We continually strive for the standards equal to that of FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For” as an employer of choice.

The Innocence Legal Team is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or any other category prohibited by local, state or federal law. This policy applies to all aspects of employment, including recruitment, placement, promotion, transfer, demotion, compensation, benefits, social and recreational activities and termination.

FAQ

Thank you for your interest in the Innocence Legal Team. To learn more about the recruiting process, please review our “Frequently Asked Questions” below.

How do I apply for a position at the Innocence Legal Team?
To apply for any open position, you must submit a resume to Human Resources. Please see the job posting in which you are interested and submit your resumes to Careers@InnocenceLegal Team.com

What happens to my resume after I have submitted it?
Your resume is promptly entered into our resume database and made available to Human Resources.  If it is determined that you are a suitable match for a position, a member of the recruiting team will contact you directly for an interview in person or via telephone.

How will I know the status of my resume?
If you e-mail your resume, you will receive an immediate receipt notification. If you fax or mail your resume, you will receive a letter of acknowledgement within two weeks of your application. You will be contacted by phone if your experience appears to match our needs. Unfortunately, due to the volume of resumes we receive, we are not able to make personal contact with individuals who are not going to be invited in for interviews.

When can I expect to hear from Human Resources?
If there is an interest in your resume, you can expect to hear from us within 30 days of your application. While candidates selected for interviews will be notified of their status, we regret that we cannot personally contact all applicants regarding their status.

Should I send a list of references or samples of my work with my resume?
If you’re selected for an interview, we may request work samples and professional references at that time. It is not necessary to provide any of these materials when you submit your resume.

How long will my application be active in the database?
Each resume submitted for a job is active during the recruitment period for that position. It is not our practice to accept unsolicited resumes.

What is the length of time a job remains open?
Most positions remain posted until the position has been filled. You can check our postings on a regular basis to find out what opportunities remain current.

How can I communicate directly with the hiring manager or the recruiter?
After you have applied for a specific job, your application will be reviewed by the recruiter and/or hiring manager. If your qualifications best match the criteria of the position, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Due to the high volume of interest in opportunities with our firm, it is not possible for our recruiters or hiring managers to communicate with every candidate.

What is your interview process?
It depends. For most positions, we begin the process with a phone interview. If there is an interest on both sides, we invite people in for an on-site interview, typically with the hiring manager and several teammates.

What type of response can I expect following an interview?
After an interview, the recruiter will contact you via e-mail, telephone or letter regarding your candidacy for the position.

How long do you take to make a decision?
Once we’ve finished interviewing all of the selected candidates and completed reference and background checks, we try to make a final decision within a few business days.

What benefits does The Innocence Legal Team offer?
The Innocence Legal Team offers a generous competitive benefits package. We will provide more detailed information to all final candidates.

What is the firm’s commitment to diversity?
We value diversity as an integral part of our culture and are committed to supporting the growth and development of a workplace that reflects the richness of the communities in which we live and work.
